Grizabella had lived most of her life out of doors, fed but unwanted until, at the age of eighteen, she was taken by her so-called family to be euthanised as she was too old and sick for them to bother with. One of us took her and cared for her for a further two plus years. She was wonderful. Loud, slightly cantankerous and greedy due to kidney and thyroid issues, she ruled the roost and ignored the resident dog and other cats. She was loved, adored and idolised for her last years and when her time came, she was allowed to go painlessly and was grieved over and is still missed greatly.
